The APSN Cafe opened in Feb 2017 at Kembangan-Chai Chee Community Hub. This social enterprise cafe is staffed by trainees from the Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN). Profits from sales are channeled back support APSN’s programmes and pay the trainee’s an allowance.
Walking into the cafe, the atmosphere is different – full of cheer and grace. A place that is really welcoming and lifts your soul. The trainees who staff the cafe are all smiles and greet you with much delight (other eateries in Singapore could certainly learn from them!).
Interesting menu of fusion dishes such as: spaghetti mee rebus; mussels with coconut rice; bak chor linguine; salted egg fish skin. Heard that the cheesecake and lemon meringue tart are really good too (but my friend and I didn’t have enough stomach space). Prices are extremely reasonable too!
They also have cookies from their bakery which you can order.
